DC Democratic Party Statement on Start of Early Voting in DC

Washington, DC — With early voting underway in the District with less than a week to go until election day, DC Democratic Party Chairman Charles Wilson issued the following statement:

“We are encouraging voters not just in DC, but across the country, to take advantage of early voting. The DC Board of Elections has live wait times listed for each vote center available at earlyvoting.dcboe.org, and you can vote at any location, regardless of your address. Don’t miss the opportunity to have your voice heard by waiting to cast your ballot.

“Any DC resident planning to sit out this election because they don’t think their vote makes a difference, keep in mind that we have a packed race for At-Large Councilmember, and you could be the deciding vote. We have endorsed Councilmember Robert White, as he is the only Democrat in the running, and we encourage you to do your research on who you’d like your second choice to be. There are some amazing candidates and the two who win will impact the future DC.”
