Running for the DC Democratic State Committee

There are currently three (3) open positions on the DC Democratic State Committee, the governing body of the DC Democratic Party: one (1) At-Large Committeeman position and two (2) Add-On Committeeman positions.

• To apply for the At-Large Committeeman position:

  • Submit the Committee Member Application by February 27, 2020 at 5:00 PM.​

  • Either submit payment of a $100 application fee in person to the DC Democratic Party or a petition with 100 signatures (including 10 from each ward) of registered Democratic voters in the District of Columbia by February 27, 2020.

• To apply for the Add-On Committeeman position:

  • Submit the Committee Member Application by February 27, 2020 at 5:00 PM.​

  • Either submit payment of a $50 application fee in person to the DC Democratic Party or a petition with 50 signatures (including 5 from each ward) of registered Democratic voters in the District of Columbia by February 27, 2020.

Elections will be held Thursday, March 5, 2020, at our General Body Meeting.

Ballot Access for Presidential Candidates

​​

• 2020 Democratic Presidential Filing Statement must be signed by the Presidential candidate and submitted to the DC Democratic Party prior to March 4, 2020.

​

• One of the following must accompany the Democratic Presidential Filing Statement: a petition containing one thousand (1,000) signatures of registered qualified electors who are members of the District of Columbia Democratic Party OR payment of a $2500 filing fee (by check or online using this link).
